Decorated Hair Comb provided by exhibitor, no larger than 5” in any direction. Must be wearable. Designer’s Choice of plant material and components. Plant material must be identified by binomial names on a 3” x 5” index card. Staged on a white cube 9” x 9” x 9” placed on table 30” high covered with off-white linen provided by committee.​

BA HORTICULTURE: Dried But Dramatic

4 entries

Dried and Preserved Specimen (Handbook for Flower Shows p. 92). One stem of dried Allium no longer than 25”. No additional embellishments permitted but may use hairspray, Super Surface Sealer, to prevent shattering. Staged on table 30” high covered with off-white linen in a clear vase provided by committee. Exhibitor must provide an entry card with correct binomial name.

ARTISTIC CRAFTS: Deck the Hall

4 entries

An Ornament no larger than 5”. Designer’s Choice of plant material and components. Plant material must be identified by binomial names on a 3” x 5” index card. Staged on a white cube 9” x 9” x 9” placed on table 30” high covered with off-white linen provided by committee. Exhibitor to provide the support to hang the ornament for display.

BA HORTICULTURE: Fall Foliage

4 entries

Arboreal (Handbook for Flower Shows p. 91). One Branch from a tree or shrub with recognized natural fall colors with majority of leaves firmly attached. Must include several nodes, central leader, and apical tip. Specimen longer than 30” but not exceeding 40” long. Staged in a container provided by committee. Bubble wrap wedging permitted and provided by committee. Exhibitor must provide an entry card with correct binomial name.

Dried and Preserved Specimens: Evergreen Cones (Handbook for Flower Shows p. 92). 1 large, 3 medium, or 12 small, staged on 12” round white paper plate provided by exhibitor. No additional embellishments permitted. Exhibitor must provide an entry card with correct binomial names.

Dried and Preserved Specimens (Handbook for Flower Shows p. 92).  One pressed specimen (flower or foliage) not artistically arranged as a ‘design’ or ‘artwork’. 1 specimen if large, 3 specimens if medium/small on a 8 1/2” x 11” piece of cardboard, staged on easel provided by exhibitor. No additional embellishments permitted. Exhibitor must provide an entry card with correct binomial name.​
